AOD-9604
Studied in lipolysis research
A growth-hormone fragment originally studied for fat metabolism — included for context, though Phase 2b trials did not show meaningful weight reduction.

Overview
AOD-9604 is a 16-amino-acid synthetic fragment of human growth hormone studied in the context of lipolysis. Phase 2b human trials sponsored by the original developer did not meet primary efficacy endpoints for clinically meaningful fat loss compared to placebo, and pharmaceutical development for the obesity indication was discontinued in 2007. We discuss this candidly.
Evidence: primarily pre-clinical / limited human data
In consultation, clients often ask
The fact that the Phase 2b trial did not demonstrate meaningful weight reduction.
Why this is not a substitute for the GLP-1 conversation.
Regulatory & sourcing
Not FDA-approved. Currently Category 2 / not permitted for compounding on the 503A bulks list. Discussed candidly during consultation.
