Recovery & Repair
BPC-157
Studied in tissue recovery research
Used to support soft-tissue recovery, gut lining health, and post-injury healing — popular with active clients and those recovering from joint or tendon strain.

Overview
BPC-157 is a synthetic pentadecapeptide originally isolated from a protective sequence in human gastric juice. It is discussed in the context of soft-tissue recovery, gut lining integrity, and post-injury support. The published evidence base is overwhelmingly pre-clinical, with only narrow human case-series and early-phase data, and we say so directly during consultation.
Evidence: primarily pre-clinical / limited human data
In consultation, clients often ask
I have a recurring tendon or joint area I'm trying to support — what is and isn't known about BPC-157 for that.
I've read mixed things about gut applications and would like to understand what the research actually shows.
Regulatory & sourcing
Not FDA-approved. Subject to ongoing FDA Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee review (July 23–24, 2026) for potential placement on the 503A bulks list. Banned by WADA — not appropriate for tested athletes. Route of administration and sourcing are decided with the nurse practitioner.
