Recovery & Repair
TB-500 (Thymosin Beta-4 fragment)
Explored for repair and recovery
Used to support tissue repair, post-exertion recovery, and the body's natural restoration response — often discussed alongside BPC-157 for athletic recovery.

Overview
TB-500 is a synthetic fragment of thymosin beta-4, a naturally occurring actin-binding peptide involved in cell migration and tissue repair. It is discussed in the context of recovery, soft-tissue support, and post-exertion restoration. Most supporting data is animal or in vitro; completed Phase 2 or 3 human trials for tendon, ligament, or muscle indications do not yet exist.
Evidence: primarily pre-clinical / limited human data
In consultation, clients often ask
How does TB-500 differ from full-length pharmaceutical thymosin beta-4 that's been in eye-drop trials.
What the evidence base honestly looks like for the use case I'm asking about.
Regulatory & sourcing
Not FDA-approved. Previously Category 2; nomination withdrawn in April 2026, currently in a regulatory gray zone awaiting PCAC review. Banned by WADA. Discussed with the nurse practitioner.
